Well this year has been quite a roller coaster ride. And the sad thing is, is that it's not over yet. There is a lot of positive that happened this year. For example, Brint and I got married. I got to make a relationship with my Father and his family. Which I am very grateful for because they are such amazing people. We have Duke and we just adore him. He has brought a lot of happiness to our lives. We are in a ward that we LOVE! There are just such awesome people there and our bishop is just great. We are so grateful to be in this ward. We really feel like we were suppose to be there. Brint's company is doing great. And he is making allot of progress with their game that they are launching! Go honey!!! I "kinda" got a promotion, well at least a different position in my company. So pretty much it's been a good year... But there has been allot of heartache and allot of tears shed this year.
One of Brint's best friends Shaun had his younger brother commit suicide. That was very difficult for Brint and he was trying to be strong for Shaun but there was a situation that happened earlier with Shaun his wife and I where it made it hard for Brint to be the best friend that he could be. Then on top of that my family has had more drama then you can imagine. It has really made our road a hard one. If you think its bad yet, well it gets worse. Brint had a really close friend who was pretty much like a brother to him, Travis was murdered about a month ago. That was hard... they just caught the person who the police believe murdered him.  She will soon be tried here in AZ. I am sure there will be allot of people there at the trial. I will keep you updated on what her sentencing is. Then yesterday we just found out that another one of Brint's good friends had his little brother try to take his own life and put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. He is now in the Scottsdale hospital in critical condition because he was found and he was still breathing. He is going into surgery again today. Please pray for Dan and his family.
Seriously we just want a break.... I feel so bad for Brint. He has gone through so much this year along with all those families. Our hearts are so heavy right now. But the good thing about it is that along with all the people involved have really turned to the lord. He is the only one that can get us through this hard time in our lives. Brint and I have been able to grow together and really learn to lean on one another. I couldn't imagine not being married right now... Woo.... well I hope that our year will get better. And something positive will happen soon.

Our 1st Son...

Well hello... I have been such a slacker. I have been meaning to write about our new son. No I am NOT pregnant or had a BABY but we did get a puppy...Duke. So here is out little story... last Wednesday I went to the airport to pick up the new arrival. He was so excited to see me and to get out of his pet taxi. He traveled from Iowa and made 2 stops on the way. One in Atlanta and then another in Texas. So it was a really long day for him. He is a Brittany Spaniel and he is about 9 weeks old now. We have had him for a little over a week. Now, I have never had a baby before but I feel like I have one now. We are trying to kennel train him and potty train him and oh my goodness... it's allot more difficult than we imagined. He is so fun. The day after we got him Brint hadn't seen him yet because he was gone fishing on his 4th of July fishing trip and so Duke and I got to bond. We went up to the Hiatt's cabin in pine and can I just tell you... Duke loves to ride in the car. He sat on my lap while I was driving (i know dangerous) the whole time and he just slept. It was so cute. My 2 sister-in-laws were with me Aryn and Leslie. Aryn brought Izzy their Chihuahua. She didn't do as good as Duke did in the car though. So then Friday Brint got and the all the men got home. They met us at the cabin and that is where Brint fell in LOVE.... Him and Duke are such buddies. As you can see from the pictures. We are so glad to have him. He is so much fun.
