YES!!!!!

I got a job!!! Wahoo!!! I am so happy :)!!! I am working part-time for a company called HTH Corporation. This company owns a few of the major hotels here in Honolulu and I am working in their corporate executive office and loving it. I started on Monday and so far everything is going great!

This next week is going to be a good one. Brint's partents and grandparents are coming! They are getting here on the Friday the 6th and mom and dad are leaving on Sunday but Grandma and Grandpa are staying till the 12th! It is going to be so much fun! Our first visitors.... *squeal* we are seriously so excited!

Recently I have been getting really homesick. I don't know if it's because I haven't really met a whole lot of people here yet and so I am really missing my friends and family or if I am really just missing home! I will say to all of you who think "how cool would it be to live in Hawaii..." well it is awesome, but it's a very hard transistion (at least for us) it definately takes some getting used to. Everything is different! I think the time difference makes it really hard too. But we do love it and we know this is where we are susppose to be. And it truly is beautiful... well I don't think Honolulu is beautiful, but everywhere else is. :)

10 things I could live without:
1. ROACHES! 
2. Humidity
3. No AC! I think we might buy a portable AC unit for  ourselves ASAP!
4. $5 for Milk 
5. $3.99 for a dozen eggs 
6. Stupid Pedestrians!   
7.  Paying what a mortgage payment would be on a 3000sqft home!
8. Hearing the neighbors conversations (fights!!)
9. Parking on the street when I have a drive way and carport!! 
10. One way streets

No place like home...

Our stuff finally arrived! Woo-hoo!!! it's about stinkin time! I was able to get everything unpacked and put away with pictures on the wall and everything in about 36 hours! Not bad, eh? What do you think?

 

22 years...

Woo-wee I am 22 today and it is so weird! I don't know if any of you have felt this way, but I feel like "yeah, it's just my birthday... moving on"

I will have to say that I have had a wonderful day. I woke up this morning to a wonderful and loving man smiling at me wish me a stinky-breath birthday! (I love morning breath...) and then I got a package in the mail from the in-laws with lots of goodies inside! Had a beautiful bouquet of chocolate covered Strawberries delivered from the Caddy's! (thanks guys, it was awesome!) Treated myself to a pedicure, had a friend come over and bring me roses and a huge "Happy Birthday" balloon, then me and the hubby went out for a WONDERFUL dinner at the Yard House! (highly recommend that place. The Mac 'n' Cheese is SO yummy). So in all, it was a wonderful birthday! :)
